How to Apply for a University of the Philippines Transcript of Records Online

Last year I applied to a Master’s degree program. I applied and got accepted to the Master’s degree in Youth Development Program at Missouri University. It was quite the process.

I had to apply for admission. Then I had to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), which is required for all foreigners who want to study in a university in the USA. I’m proud that I got a score of 117 out of 120! 🙂 I prepared for that test but not thoroughly. I can write another post about that soon.

To be admitted to a master’s degree program in the USA, though, you will need to send your official transcript of records (TOR) to the university. Your personal copy does not count, though. It should be sent directly from the college or university in the Philippines to the college or university in the USA.

Here’s how to apply for a UP Transcript of Records Online

Look for the information you need from this page: http://our.upd.edu.ph/faqtor.php.

Download the TOR application form.

You can download the OLD TOR application form here: http://our.upd.edu.ph/forms/oldtorapplicationform.pdf. Since it is old, you need to fill it out using a pen, scan it, then send it to the email provided below.

Alternatively, you can download the new form here: http://our.upd.edu.ph/forms/TORApplication-FillableForm-1.pdf. You can fill out the PDF directly.

This is the message I sent to the email of the University Registrar: transcript@upd.edu.ph

The OUR confirmed the payment amount I listed in my email.

To ensure fast processing, I asked my brother based in Manila to pay for my transcript at a LandBank branch. I applied for my transcript on July 31, 2017. My brother paid for it on Aug 1, 2017. They processed and sent my transcript of records by Aug 10, 2017 via DHL. They also sent me the tracking number.

They also told me that processing time is 10 working days plus 3-4 days for the DHL or courier to send it to the University in the USA.

All in all, it was a really good and fast service. I know that the process could have been automated through an online form, but still, I was amazed at how quickly they were able to process and send my transcript of records to my university in the USA.

Wow! Thanks for this review. I emailed them yesterday and I haven’t got any replies yet. I was so worried that they might not reply to my request at all but your story gave me hope.
